Amanda's safe?

If you don't watch American Idol, you may as well skip this post. But if you do watch it, please, please explain to me how Elvira Rockenstein made it through this week. Two-tone Amanda is one of the worst singers in recent years. I wouldn't even call her a singer. She's a constantly gurgling Janis Joplin impersonator. I cannot STAND to see her struggle through her laughable renditions. Even the judges have given up on her, realizing they made a big mistake in letting her get this far. So WHY did America not even put her in the bottom three this week? Is she this season's Sanjaya? I'm starting to think so.

I think the audience also blew it with Alaina and Alexandreya going home (Katy was worse than either of them) but they would've washed out in a week or so, anyway. The bigger crime was letting Amanda through.

I say this every season, but I just don't get the people who vote for this show.
